Name: Dexter
Breed: Female Lionhead Rabbit
Likes: Getting brushed, Halloween pumpkins, sleeping all day in our office, West Virginia, spending time with Lorraine from Sit-A-Pet.
Dislikes: Our second home in DC (but she’s starting to change her mind), getting picked up, sitting on the sofa (except when she wants to), other rabbits.
About Dexter: Dexter came to us on a cold winter day in West Virginia. We found her near our carriage house where she had been abandoned. She was hungry and not too happy. Until her first visit to the vet a couple of weeks later, we didn’t know she was a girl; we were already calling her “Dexter” so the name stuck. She is a free range bunny who has run of our house with the exception of our bedroom (during the day). However, at night, we let her come in and she spends part of each night under the bed. She eats healthy organic Whole Foods carrot tops (we end up eating plenty of carrots!). Dexter is undoubtedly spoiled, but she is a joy who has brought laughter and smiles to us and anyone who meets her.
