Meet Cocoa!

Name: Cocoa (named for Kokopelli and the wonderful color of her fur)

Breed: Domestic short-hair (although she looks more like a mix of ocelot and leopard)

Likes: Having her head scratched and her belly rubbed; sitting on laps and purring; sleeping on her blanket and purring; playing with her favorite toys (and purring); helping to pay the bills by lying on top of them and shredding them (and purring); everyone at Sit-a-Pet who takes such good care of her.

I’d like to thank the Academy and everyone who voted for me. I’ll do my best to live up to this wonderful honor!

Dislikes: Loud noises or disruptions when enjoying any or all of the above. Also, not a big fan of thunderstorms or reality TV.

About Cocoa: Cocoa was adopted from the Humane Society in 2009 when she was 6 years old and, like her predecessor Cleo, has been a proud client of Sit-A-Pet ever since. She has been known to pout at times when the overnight bags come out (and has even tried to sneak in one once or twice), but she always perks up knowing that Edith (or Emily or Lin or one of her other Sit-A-Pet friends) is going to take care of her and give her a treat or two. She likes NASA TV, Springsteen, mystery novels (particularly those that involve cats), and crossword puzzles (particularly those that involve cats). She also enjoys running, jumping, and playing hide and seek, particularly at bedtime. But most of all, she likes curling up next to her friends and enjoying a good nap or a belly rub or two.
