About Silverado: Silverado was a stray, and was adopted from a shelter back in 2008. In 2011, I adopted his best friend Burton! The two of them have been inseparable ever since. They come from Chicago, and in 2015, the three of us moved to DC. Silverado is very playful — he loves to tap people with his nose, then run away. About a year and a half ago, he developed cataracts, but he hasn’t let that slow him down at all — he still hops around my apartment without any problems, going from his litter box to his food bowl to his favorite napping spot in the corner of the living room. Silverado is very soft and fuzzy, and while he doesn’t like being picked up, he enjoys being petted. He will often hop over to me looking for some attention, and sometimes he even jumps on the couch to hang out with me while I’m watching TV!
Nanette from Sit-A-Pet has been keeping an eye on Silverado (and Burton) when I go out of town for more than three years now. She always does such a great job.
