Meet Miko!
Name: Miko (origin: Japanese, meaning: “shrine maiden”)
Breed: Balinese
Likes: I enjoy deep tissue massages, pawdicures, being brushed, sticking my paw in people’s beverages, speaking my mind (my “catitude”), catnip, loves, snuggles, attention, “helping” my people play video games, albacore tuna in spring water, getting a drink of warm water from the bathtub faucet, sitting outside on the back patio gazing at the moon and stars, the mid-level unit of my kitty condo, chasing fireflies, the last spoonful of milk from a bowl of cereal and sitting underneath the Christmas tree.
Dislikes: I don’t care much for e-collars, baths, vacuums, plane rides, car rides, not being inside when I am outside, not being outside when I am inside, or being dressed up in silly Santa Claus outfits. I also dislike skydiving, scuba diving and rollercoaster rides.
About Miko: Miko adopted her people in Valencia, California in 2003 through the California Siamese Rescue program and was placed through C.A.T.S., Inc. at a PetSmart adoption event. (Miko encourages the adoption of all pets through rescue agencies or shelters, as hers has been quite a satisfactory arrangement.) Miko would like to thank her favorite pet-sitter at Sit-A-Pet, Saranah, for nominating her for this prestigious award. Miko has now asked to be referred to as “Ms. December”; however, she has advised her subjects that her usual “Your Highness”, “Princess Boo Boo” and “Pookie Wookie” are also still acceptable.
