Name: Dash and Skooter
Breed: Birman
Likes: Skooter greets every visitor at the door at full speed, completely unbothered by who they might be. Petting and chin scratches are simply non-negotiable priorities. He is equally passionate about his morning treats (which are, in his professional opinion, Delicious) and his naps, which are sacred and not subject to negotiation. Skooter may be brave, but Dash is wise. He lets his brother race down the stairs to greet newcomers first — purely as a precaution — before making his own grand entrance for his rightful share of petting and chin rubs. He’s also a devoted fan of morning snuggles (yes, we’re occasionally late to work), freshly dried laundry to roll in, and will absolutely, vocally let you know when it’s time to scoop him up for a bear hug.
Dislikes: Skooter feels that vacuum cleaners are the enemy. Nail trims are an indignity. And stopping petting before he decides it’s over? Simply not an option. Dash thinks closed doors are an affront to his dignity. And please — please — do not let his food bowl drop below 10% capacity.
About Dash and Skooter: These two Birman brothers have been ruling our household with velvet paws for the past five years. Birmans are known for being affectionate, curious, and just clever enough to be trouble — Dash and Skooter have taken that as a personal challenge.
When we come home from work, they’re both at the door ready to tell us all about their day. When it’s bedtime, they make sure all of us know it’s time to turn in. They greet us, they boss us, and they love us completely — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. These boys are the loves of our lives, which is exactly why we trust Sit-A-Pet’s exceptional team of caregivers to look after them. We’ve been proud Sit-A-Pet clients for more than 12 years — our previous Persian kitties were fans too — and we can say without hesitation that they are the finest pet sitting service in the DC metro area.
